FocusLock
The Focus Lock Settings tab allows you to edit the Lock Settings.
- Stop Gap (1) - Determines the maximum drift in roundness allowed before the system corrects for it. A value between 1 and 3 is useful for most weather conditions. The current value can be seen off to the right.
- Averaging Constant (2) - Determines how many frames are averaged together. A higher value (~10) should be used for calibration and for poor seeing conditions. The current value can be seen off to the right.
- Save (3) - Saves any changes made to the Stop Gap and Averaging constant.
- Ignore Low SNR in Lock (4) - Tells the lock to continue to operate on low signal to noise levels. This is best left on (checked) except in very poor seeing conditions.
- Find Focuser Offset (5)- If there is a constant offset in focus between the main camera and the guide camera (I.E. not par focal) you will need to use the Find Focuser Offset box. Click on Find and follow the instructions to find and save an offset. Reset defaults back to zero offset.
- Advanced Box (6) - These are the raw calibration coefficients found in the initial calibration run. Do not edit these directly unless you need to reenter them. If you do need to edit them press Save once you are finished. Kc is computed from Ks and several other variables and will change based on the averaging constant.
