New Product - Aquila 88!
Optec is pleased to announce the availability of our new 3-inch class rotator: the Aquila 88.
At 600 steps per degree the Aquila 88 offers more than 4.6 times the step resolution of our Pyxis 3”, while having a body that is 0.65” thinner with an almost 0. 5” larger clear aperture. New electronics offer improved functionality with native Ethernet and USB C connectivity. Unlike the Pyxis 3” the Aquila supports firmware updates without requiring an update chip.
In addition to the Optec ASCOM and Alpaca Drivers the Aquila is backwards compatible with Pyxis Gen 3 commands allowing immediate X2 support. The Aquila also supports Alt-Az de-rotation through the Optec Universal Rotator Driver.
