Gemini Commander Software and ASCOM Driver
NOTE: When installing or updating the Gemini Commander program, you may install the new version directly over the original installation. If a firmware update is available, it is generally a good idea to update your device's firmware at the same time.
See the Gemini Commander Help File for details and instructions for firmware updates.
Current Software and Firmware versions:
Optec recommends keeping your software and firmware on the latest versions. The software and Gemini hub firmware are available as free downloads. The WiFi and Hand Control firmware are provided on a socketed 28-pin DIP package that must be ordered separately from Optec.

Windows 32-bit or 64-bit (release date: 2022/10/03)  Setup program for the
Gemini Commander Control Program
and ASCOM Driver version 1.3.3. Driver with
advance setup options for the Optec Gemini Focusing
Rotator. Includes ASCOM local server software driver,
and expanded help file. NOTE: You will
need to unzip this file into a temporary folder and double-click
the setup.exe installer program. This installer works with
both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows 7 and higher operating systems.Requires Gemini firmware version 1.2.0 or higher. ASCOM driver requires Platform 6.5 SP1 or later. Software copyright 2022 - Optec, Inc. (Free to distribute.) |
