Terms, Conditions and Warranty
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DOMESTIC SALES
We accept Visa, Master Charge, American Express, Discover, PayPal, check, money order, bank check and C.O.D. Telephone orders are welcome. Michigan residents include 6% sales tax. Net 30 days to established institutions or firms with approved credit. C.O.D. orders require cash, bank check or certified check on delivery. All prices and specifications subject to change without notice.
Orders are shipped via UPS insured if possible. Shipping charges, handling and insurance from Lowell, Michigan are added to invoice cost for C.O.D., charge card and net credit terms.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL SALES
Normally, payments are made FOB Lowell, Michigan unless arranged differently in advance. All amounts quoted in U.S. dollars. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, bank draft drawn on a major US bank and wire transfers. For wire transfers, e-mail us your request and we will e-mail you back our bank information for making the transfer. We prefer wire transfers only for orders that exceed $500.00. Make sure for wire transfers that all bank fees are for the buyer's account to avoid unnecessary delays. We do not accept Letters of Credit. Quotation or proforma invoice available upon request. All official documents must be in English.
We prefer that all orders over $2500 to be shipped by commercial air freight with all shipping, insurance, export documents, consular and license charges billed to the recipient's account with the carrier. For this, we require the recipient's account number with the designated shipping company. Our prefered carriers are: UPS and Federal Express. This is the lowest cost and safest method for shipping.
At the customer's request, shipping charges may be prepaid by Optec but a handling charge of 10% of the net shipping cost will be included in the quoted shipping total cost. Orders may be shipped by UPS, FedEx, US Airmail Parcel Post, Global Priority (no insurance available for Global Priority) or Global Express (tracking information available with Global Express) with shipping and insurance paid in advance.
WARRANTY AND RETURN POLICY
We warranty all Optec, Inc. products to be free from defects in workmanship and material for one year from date of delivery. We will replace or repair at our option any item, should it be defective during this period, providing there is no evidence of misuse. Warranty items must be returned to us freight prepaid. Repaired items will be returned via UPS ground within the continental USA at our expense. Overnight shipping services may be arranged in advance at the customer's expense. Call Optec before returning any instruments for repair and to arrange for return shipping.
If not completely satisfied for any reason, return the merchandise with freight prepaid within 30 days from date of invoice and the full purchase price will be refunded. Shipping charges will not be refunded. Of course, any damage to the product will be charged against the refund amount.
